Valentine’s Day 2026 lands on Saturday 14 February — which is great news if you’re planning a surprise weekend moment (and slightly terrifying if you’re the type who remembers on the day). This guide is our Auckland-specific update on what’s popular this year, when to order, and how delivery works on Valentine’s weekend.
If you’d rather skip the reading and go straight to the good stuff, you can browse our full range here: Valentine’s Day Flowers & Gifts.
Red roses are still the headline act (no surprise there), but we’re seeing more people choose romantic mixed bouquets and gift boxes too — especially when they want something a little more personal than “classic dozen”. If you’re shopping early, you’ll get the best choice across flowers, roses and add-on gifts.
Not at all. Red roses are the most traditional and most popular — but they’re not the only way to do Valentine’s Day. Romantic bouquets with lilies, hydrangea, seasonal reds/pinks, or a “pretty but not too serious” palette can be a better fit depending on the relationship (and the recipient).

Earlier is better. Valentine’s Day is our biggest romantic delivery period of the year, and popular items (especially red roses) can sell out. Ordering early also gives you the best chance of securing your preferred delivery day/time window and product choice.
If you’re sending to a workplace, we strongly recommend ordering ahead so we can plan routes and get everything out smoothly. (Also: delivering to work = maximum brownie points.)
We are delivering on Saturday 14 February for Valentine’s Day in Auckland. Because of the high volume, please note that we can’t guarantee specific delivery times (for example, “by 10am” or “between 10–12”). We’ll deliver as fast as we can, and ordering early helps us do that.
For the most up-to-date delivery info, please see: Auckland Flower Delivery Information or call our florists on 09 838 9058.
If you prefer to be in control of the timing (respect), we also offer Click & Collect on Saturday 14 February. You’re welcome to come visit our store too — we’ll have ready-to-go bouquets available for Valentine’s weekend, including red roses while stocks last.

A thorny question (sorry). Valentine’s Day is global peak demand for red roses, and it pushes prices up through the flower market. In Auckland, florists buy through fast-moving wholesale channels and auctions — and when every florist is chasing the same premium red roses at once, prices jump.
We also scale up for Valentine’s Day with extra drivers, extra courier capacity, and longer florist hours so we can get your orders made beautifully and delivered as quickly as possible.
If you want a simple shortcut, these are always strong choices for Valentine’s Day in Auckland:
A dozen red roses is the timeless Valentine’s message — romantic, bold, and instantly recognisable. If you want “classic Valentine’s Day” with no overthinking, this is it.
Large rose bouquets (two dozen or more) are the ultimate statement gift — perfect for big anniversaries, major “I love you” moments, or when you simply want maximum impact.
